What does this treatment feel like?
You may be pleasantly surprised how little discomfort the typical patient feels. Similar to a heavy workout pain, our system is designed to minimize unnecessary trauma to the body.
Is this different from traditional liposuction?
Yes, very different. The laser pretreats the fat minimizing bleeding and pain, and helps reduce healing times. Also, traditional liposuction physically breaks up and suctions out intact fat cells, while SlimLipo efficiently melts and liquefies fat, which is then removed from your body. Answered simply: SlimLipo is easier on your body removing fat cell contents with less trauma.
How long is recovery time?
Typically, four to five days. Treating localized areas, many patients can go to work the very next day. You may see slight bruising which may take several weeks to completely resolve. Compression garments may be required for a short period of time. Dr. Bengtson will discuss post-procedure instructions and what you can expect during your recovery period.
