Strattice™ AlloDerm®
The loss of natural breast tissue or a lack of natural breast tissue to adequately cover a breast implant may result in breast surgery results that don’t meet your expectations. Strattice™ and Alloderm® are a revolutionary new tissue matrices that can help support and enhance undesirable outcomes, such as implant malposition and capsular contracture, and enhance your breast surgery to achieve a very natural appearance. Strattice™ has the ability to achieve adequate coverage over your breast implants and decrease visible implant wrinkling or rippling. Strattice™ supports your breast tissue around the implant and can assist in improving the appearance of implants that are out of position, such as those that may have been previously placed too far to the side and create a lack of cleavage.
Details & FAQ
What is Strattice™ revisional breast surgery?
Strattice, and its human-based counterpart Alloderm, is a tissue substitute that may be used in breast augmentation, revisional surgeries and breast reconstruction. It is designed to help control the breast pocket location and size, help support and hold the implant in place, help support repairs following malposition repair, and offer an additional layer of tissue that may help mask implant visibility, wrinkling and rippling. There is also increasing evidence it may correct and reduce the chance of developing capsular contracture which is the leading complication of all breast implant surgery.
Why might Strattice breast surgery be recommended for me?
Only breast implants can permanently increase the size of your breasts and bring your body into better proportion. Strattice enhances the outcome of breast implants alone following revision surgery decreasing the chance of further complications and more revisions in the future. The result for many women includes enhanced self-confidence and a more positive body image and longer lasting result.
