This 54 year-old woman had 3 times recurrent capsular contracture and presented with rock-hard recurrent breasts again following her last procedure from other plastic surgeons. Dr. Brad Bengtson of the Bengtson Center performed a total capsulectomy removing all of her scar tissue and placed new implants, Moderate Plus, silicone gel implants and Strattice, an Acellular Dermal Matrix, to prevent her scar tissue from recurring.
She is now over 6 years out following our surgery with totally soft, non-painful breasts and is very pleased with her result. Dr. Bengtson has performed over 400 of these operations in the past 10 years with rare recurrence of any scar tissue that without adding some additional material has a 20-85% recurrence rate reported.
